Agriculture and Livestock Entrepreneurship Development Project

Summary of the project: Bheri Environment Excellence Group (BEE-Group) has been implementing the project, namely "Agriculture and Livestock Entrepreneurship Development" with the partnership of Heifer Project Nepal funding support of Rapti Sonari Rural Municipality. The project is carrying out the interventions with the coordination and collaboration of the Social Entrepreneur Women Cooperatives (SEWC), Self Help Groups (SHG), and outh Groups that will support strengthen entrepreneur improvement for the economic growth of smallholder farmers in the project area. 

Overall objective of the project: The project aims to increase the average annual income of the targeted families through the promotion of livestock production and by enabling a market system. 

Major Interventions: The following interventions will be done to achieve the expected results. 

• Placement of the improved breeding Doe at households and the breeding Buck in the community and group. 
• Establishment of the fodder and forage resource center in the community to build the access of farmers to nutritious feed for their animals. 
• Provide support of the seed and sapling of fodder and forage to the farmers for the production on their land. 
• Support the entrepreneurs in the establishment of a feed mill for small animals, focusing on the goat. 
• Support to farmers for making the improved animal shed for goat rearing. 
• Support the grant to farmers (women and youth) for promotion of agri-business.
